Eating well should include a diet low in bad fats and high in good. To help maintain this healthy lifestyle we all need to include things like fish, almonds and seeds in our diets. These things are staples in any successful meal plan and now researches are giving us even more good reason to include DHA.
You have probably heard that consuming more Omega-3 fatty acids may be good for your Heart and joints. All the experts are now recommending that we consume more of these naturally occurring fats. They can be found in things like Salmon and walnuts, but they are also showing up in supplement form in everything from baby formula to cereal. We all recognize that these fats have cardiac benefits, but did you know that can also be good for your brain function, mood, bones, and will even support a reduction in the visible signs of aging by reducing inflammation. The range of possible uses for omega-3 fatty acids is growing to include treatment for a variety of surprising conditions. A great list can be found at the: U Maryland Omega-3 fatty acids page.
One treatment includes using Omega -3 fatty acids to treat cancer patients. Ron Pardini, recently published in the Nutrition and Cancer Journal his findings and stated, “We have good evidence for employing nutritional interventions to improve cancer treatment and patient well-being.” From: Omega 3 Fatty Acids Improve Cancer Treatment
Another interesting use of Omega -3’s is in the area of weight loss. Nicholas Perricone, MD, a leading anti-aging expert and author of 7 Secrets to Beauty, Health, and Longevity says, “Omega-3s also boost the ability of the body’s enzymes to pull fat out of storage — from your hips, — and use it as energy”.
So, don’t go without your DHA! Try including it in you foods or get it from your supplements. My kids love Coromega. It tastes like cream cycles.  My husband and I take Isagenix’s IsaOmega Supreme.  They taste great and leave no fishy after taste.

Resent reports say that scientist have even found a way to make these terrific fats water soluble. Just wait, it may soon be showing up in your orange juice!
